Yoü And I (RoboGaga): When we first see Gaga in the video for ‘Yoü And I’ she appears with various robotic parts and bloodied feet. Gaga says that this symbolizes that she has walked from New York to Nebraska, and has had broken parts replaced along the way (it has also been suggested that those broken parts which have been artificially replaced also represent her fame, as well as her childhood traumas). Her nails in this scene are made to match with broken and reattached pieces, rivets, and wires.
These are the first set of “nonfunctional” nails that I’ve done here, and, although I wasn’t able to wear them for very long, I really enjoyed bringing them to life! A more broken down version of these nails can be seen in Gaga’s Haus Of Ü ft. Bride fashion film.
