Wow!  Thank you SO much for all of the crazy support, everyone!  I made a little promo post for this blog on my other Tumblr and I think I had over 50 followers here within the first half hour of making the post!  I can’t thank you all enough - and welcome to Polished Paws Up! I have a new post coming up in just a moment, but first I wanted to explain a couple things about this blog. I wanted to start a very fan-friendly nail blog.  I see so many nail art blogs that primarily use things that you couldn’t walk into a drug store and find.  Lots of MAC polishes, lots of nail art kits, and things like that.  The furthest I’ve gone for nail art thus far is the local craft store.  I got quite a few questions about the rhinestones and half-pearls I’ve used - both of which you can find at Michael’s Arts & Crafts stores and JoAnn Fabric stores.  They’ve really expanded their selection in the past couple years, and you can find everything from plastic to Swarovski in just about any color!  I decided to go with the Gaga theme because, well, what’s more monster paw-like than nail photos? ;) I also got several questions about submissions.  I would love to see your work!  If you have a photo of Gaga-inspired nails or even a look you’ve seen here and replicated, send me a comment through the ‘Ask’ option with your image(s) and I will compile whatever I get into regular “submissions” posts!
