Marry The Night (2011 EMAs performance and video finale look): Gaga began her performance of Marry The Night at the 2011 Europe Music Awards chained on top of gigantic moon, wearing a stunning, satellite-esque, Paco Rabanne look.   Video of the performance has been blocked on YouTube, but you can view images here.  This design also applies to a similar look that appears in the very final scene of the newly released video for Marry The Night. Colors & Materials Used: Grape Escape and Wined Up (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri), Black Diamond (Sally Hansen Diamond Strength) over a coat of solid black, Kiss Me Here (Pure Ice) grey mixed with white for the various shades in the “moon”, and chain detail. I was thrilled to find the perfect polishes to replicate the unique materials in Gaga’s outfit, and at a wonderful price point to boot!  The purple and red are from the Insta-Dri Fall collection, which has the perfect kind of iridescence for this design.  I wanted to do a play on French tips and half moons while creating a perfect circle in the center of the nail with the base color to mimic Gaga’s dress and headpiece.   I made the circle on the accent nail into the “moon” by adding details with a toothpick and sponge, then surrounded it by a shimmery black.  The chain was added using drops of glue on the underside tip of the nails (each nail being attached back to the “moon”, of course).  After photographing them, I simply popped the chains off for wearability.
