Corrections to ‘The Upcoming’ PPU Feature

After debating if I should bother posting about this or not, I’ve decided that I ought to put in a quick word here.  Polished Paws Up was recently featured on The Upcoming: A UK based online magazine.  While I’m flattered to be featured, there are a couple inaccuracies in their article.  

First, they assume that I’m Audrey Kitching.  I recently posted about being featured on the actual Ms. Audrey Kitching’s blog, but I myself am NOT her, haha.

Secondly, there’s a bit at the end about my being a pastry chef, followed by a comment about finding nails in food.  I suppose this is a joke on their part, but I’ve mentioned here several times that all of the nails seen here are fakes that I wear—specifically so I can take them off and clean my hands, since I cannot (and WILL not) wear them while working on cakes (this should go without saying. I mean…come ON).  We in the food service industry take our sanitation very seriously. I myself am legally certified in sanitation by the National Restaurant Association, and, frankly, wouldn’t do something that stupid.

On a lighter note, a new design will be posted tomorrow, followed by a special Grammy edition post next weekend! (No pastries were harmed in the making of these nails.)
