“The Pussy Wagon” Telephone Part Two: Gaga took a page out of Quentin Tarantino’s cult film direction book for her highly stylized video for Telephone.  The story goes that the green Rolls Royce, which made it’s stage appearance on the Monster Ball Tour, was originally created for use in the Telephone video, but upon meeting with Quentin to discuss the video’s plot, he insisted that she instead use the infamous Pussy Wagon (or, as basic cable has dubbed it, the “Party Wagon”) from his Kill Bill films.
Colors & Materials Used: Lightening yellow (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri) base, Cherry Red (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear), Celeb City silver (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear), and Purple Panic magenta (China Glaze).  Flames and leopard spots were free-handed with toothpicks.
I’ve never done flames before, but these were super easy!  With the color base (yellow) prepped and dry beforehand, I put a little puddle of red polish on my tinfoil work surface (not a ton, just a couple dabs off the polish brush).  Dip a toothpick once into the red and, starting where each flame forks into two (or, where the two tips connect) draw the slight S-curve upward, in one sweeping motion.  You could practice this on tinfoil first, but once you get going it’s very easy.  Re-dip your toothpick each time and, once your flame tips are done, you can fill in the base with the polish brush and, presto! You’re ready to bust from friends out of jail!
