Arriving at the Born This Way Foundation Launch 2.29.12: This past February, Gaga set up a conference at Harvard University for the launch of her Born This Way Foundation.  Originally I didn’t think this look would translate well to a nail design, until I saw the back of the coat, that is!  I finally get to used some of my favorite polishes from Orly’s Cosmic FX line, and this was the perfect design to do it.  (Check here to learn more about the Born This Way Foundation.)

Colors & Materials Used: Black, Halley’s Comet teal, Out Of This World purple, It’s Not Rocket Science green (Orly), and Golden-I (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear).  I “dry brushed” these colors in layers, one at a time.  Tips were filed into an angled 3-scallop edge to match her glasses, and I used a nail art pen on the thumb over gold to represent the pattern of her hat.

I still have several designs from old looks on the back burner, but I wanted to get to posting some more recent things.  Next week, something very recent: my first ever Born This Way Ball nails!  (I told you I would have some soon. My “soon” is a little sooner than Gaga’s “soon”. =P)
