Tonight the full concert special Lady Gaga Presents: The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden airs on HBO at 9PM ET!  I had some Monster Ball nails on deck before this event was even announced and recorded, so what a perfect time to share them! I call these a “Theme Design” because they’re a little different than what I normally do.  Each nail is different and they only form a cohesive design together when you are aware of what the design influence is.  Usually I like to match my match my nails for a more consistent look, but I will be doing more sets like these in the future as well! The Monster Ball Tour 2.0 (Theme Design): (click title links for images) “BBQ” — Neon signs adorn the stage during Act I: The City of the show.  I used to a toothpick to freehand the design in Purple Panic by China Glaze over a black base. The Rolls Royce — Gaga’s tripped out holy roller “breaks down” at the end of Act I. After popping the hood to check the damages (and playing the concealed electric piano inside) she is forced her to take the subway.  Free Spirit by Pure Ice base, Hi-Def by Sally Hansen metallic overlay, with a black cross. “Beautiful Dirty Rich” — Gaga dons an Armani headpiece with purple leopard leotard which is worn throughout Act I.  Spontaneous by China Glaze base, black and Flair by Sally Hansen spots, and purple glass rhinestones. “It’s the monster…” — After Act III: The Forest (Central Park) Gaga has been abandoned by her crew and faces the Fame Monster alone.  Black base with Green With Envy by Sally Hansen and green glass rhinestone design. The Studkini — Jumping back to Act II: The Subway, Gaga gets a call from Beyonce and performs several ballads on a flaming piano in this outfit.  Black base with square rhinestones to mimic the line of studs on the bottom.  (I couldn’t find small enough craft pyramid studs for these, so I used the square rhinestones and coated them with Celeb City by Sally Hansen (silver) and Tiara by China Glaze (silver glitter) for extra sparkle.)
